  • Wetherspoon pubs are not usually my thing. However, I found myself in Derby feeling hungry and when I looked, I was standing outside The Standing Order. As I didn't really want to spend a lot of money...  more »

  • Speaking from a real ale perspective, this place has definitely had it's ups and downs over the years, but during 2016 the management have got their act together and are trying to offer a much wider range than before. The condition is usually good, only letting themselves down once in a while now and the ever changing selection of craft bottled beers is impressive at these prices. Still one of the best landmark pubs to meet up, with the usual good value JDW food menu. A bit too busy for my taste on a Saturday with the famous long wait to get served, but generally recommended.
  • Excellent example of a wetherspoons pub. Great beer choice and amazing decor. Highly recommended!
  • No ear splitting music, good beers and fair prices. If you want a place to drink and talk then this is where you want to be.
  • It's a Wetherspoons. No personality and exactly the same gray faces you see in every single one.
  • I just love this place, it might not be everyone's cup of tea but how can anyone go wrong in a wetherspoon's?...could do with a lick of paint though.
