  • Donington is a great place to watch motorsport of all kinds. I personally love BTCC and BSB. It's an easy track to walk around to get a good vantage point to watch the action.  more »

  • Fantastic track and event, well organised, love the layout, food wagons extortionate, raising prices from the previous day for the main event on Sunday however this did not taint our visit.  more »

  • Good track but an awful experience. I arranged with a group of friends to meet for a track day on Sunday 6th November 2016. (The only day everyone could meet together). Some of the cars we brought were, Clio 182 Trophy, Clio RS200, Bmw M3, Bmw M5, an Ariel Atom.. The organisers were appalling. We were not welcomed as their guests and no opportunity was given to us for a track day experience. They would not let us register to drive.. making excuses.. I was even asked by an over fed no good excuse for an human, if I had a driving licence. My friend was even asked if he had his parents signature for authority. I could not believe the discriminating of these people. I was originally under the impression that we were at an international event. But I was wrong! We have all decided to stick with Gold Track days, where we are welcomed with open arms.
  • What can I say? If you go there for any of the bike racing you'll know how difficult it is to put into words the atmosphere etc. I had never been until recently and tbh, I wasn't even sure that I was going to like it. Well, I wasn't disappointed and I am so glad I'd been given the opportunity. Would definitely go back again if I had the chance.
  • Always worth a visit. A challenging layout. The Craner Curves are awesome, especially in the wet when they become super greasy thanks, I think to a deposit of avgas from the planes taking off from East Midlands Airport. The Donington Grand Prix Collection is a must see as well.
  • Showbus 2016, yet another cock up, poor signage on approach to the venue caused a number of buses to go to the wrong entrance, and then having found the right entrance, queuing on the main road as the buses waited to go through the pay booth (more than 5 passengers on the buses had to pay admission) this was made worse by only one pay booth (a minibus) in use. The fun then started as the buses had to play a game of 'find the yellow block' (the small triangular block that had the entry number on it). With no map or plan of where the numbers/parking spaces were located, buses & coaches were doing a 'musical chairs act' trying to find them. This was made even worse by not having marshall's in place to direct them. As for the venue itself, it was a warren of narrow roads (part of the old race circuit I think) bordered by trees. The result was that many of the exhibits were parked far too close, & the overhanging trees cut out the sunlight, making photography difficult. The only good thing was that it was all on hard standing & there were not the 'stuck in the mud' problems encountered at Woburn last year. Another major problem was the catering, only ONE catering van, plus a drinks bar selling beer at £4 per pint, & a coffee machine within the Donington hospitality building that failed. Donington is not an ideal venue for an event like Showbus, needs to be somewhere like East of England Showground at Peterborough where there are acres of open space to fully display the buses & coaches, adequate catering facilities & enough marshals in place to deal with the entry.
  • If you like motor racing, what more is there to say about this place? A popular and well known track which is also home to many teams and manufacturers
