Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by MotorSport Vision, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038.Originally part of the Donington Hall estate, it was created as a racing circuit during the period between the First and Second World Wars when the German Silver Arrows were battling for the European Championship. Used as a military vehicle storage depot during World War II, it fell into disrepair until bought by local construction entrepreneur Tom Wheatcroft. Revived under his ownership in the 1970s, it hosted a single Formula One race, but became the favoured home of the British round of the MotoGP motorcycling championship.Leased by Donington Ventures Leisure Ltd in 2007 the hope that Formula One racing could return to the track, the incomplete venture failed to raise sufficient financial backing during the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis. DVLL consequently lost the rights to the British rounds of both Formula 1 and MotoGP, and in its bankruptcy returned the track to the Wheatcroft family in December 2009.Donington Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Derby Edition.

Very good place of interest for many different occasions. Visited the place twice with no disappointments except for the British weather but not put off. Plenty of places to shelter. Great stands for observing races. Access to garages on some occasions and other areas. Hospitality suites provided. Plenty of staff, always something to do and decent prices for the days entrance.
Great venue! I was here for Fast Car Festival 2016 and it was amazing. Very easy to find and get into, and easier to communicate around. A clean and quiet camp site is located just to the right of the paddock entrance/exit . The seating and view of the track is great! Overall a great experience. Another great factor is the restaurant, the staff are helpful and are always happy to help and the food is great at a reasonable price, especially if there is an event on.
Top circuit with views all around the track. Infield makes an excellent viewing spot where you can see more than half the circuit all at once. Parking was well organised. Plenty of facilities for probably all but the busiest events. Decent cafe in the paddock which doesn't take the p**s with it's prices.
One of the best tracks in the UK for spectating and being able to get a good photo. There are many spots where you can see over the fencing or get up close and personal to the racing action. There is also a large open paddock for most racing events. Parking is well organised, with gravel tracks to help during wet times of year and many marshals are on hand to help with parking directions. Free cash withdrawals too, inside the building near the petrol station in the paddock.
Good clean toilets shame no hot water in toilets, but we had some in the pits. Friendly staff and a well run circuit. Shame that the food prices complete rip off need a mortgage for lunch.
