Our daughter has swimming lessons here, week in week out the staff are rude, the changing rooms are filthy and they serve food I wouldn't give to my dog!
We arrived in the afternoon for as a last minute decision for swimming . Never been before so the kids were quite excited about going.. Well we wont be going back , thats for sure. The staff were rude... read more »
A fun afternoon on a rainy day. The grandchildren loved the slides, Nana had to go down too!!! The wave feature was a real plus too. Ideal for very young children too as it had a beach type part where... read more »
Nice pool, with a good layout. A little overwhelming when full of shrieking kids, but you have take the rough with the smooth.
Great swimming pool. But when busy they make you wait up to an hour to actually get in then you don't get much time
Lovely swimming pool for the family slides and waves nice!!!
Me and my partner have visited every "your leisure" swimming pool now and i must say i am dissapointed, tides is the closest being only a mile or so away from where we live but not the first we would pick if we wanted to go swimming again. Finding a day when its quiet and not full of screaming kids is difficult so you usualy end up with a pool full of screaming kids getting in your way and being a general pain. The lifeguards are way too relaxed, many a time ive seen them chatting away to eachother or biting their nails, im not a super strong swimmer but one time when i was in the deep end something went wrong and i started to sink, luckily i managed to grab the rail on the outside and pull myself back out.. not one lifeguard even battered an eyelid. We often have a good indicator of when to get out before our eyes start to stink by the fact that everytime someone comes round to test the water within 10 minutes its full of chlorine and becomes almost unbareable. We had an indicent where we tried to get a student concession but got refused on the grounds my partners proof is 6 months old, even though we had been accepted at ramsgate pool the night before with the same letter, after loads of arguing we where finaly allowed to go into the pool with concession prices, knowing we only had 2 hours before it shut we made the most of it, untill 45 minutes in a load of schoolkids came into the pool with their teachers ruining the day. From now on we shall be going to ramsgate as they have adult only swims which is a hell of a lot better!
We Love this place!
