  • We visited on a hot, sunny day in July 2014 and it was a lovely surprise. There were masses of butterflies and dragon/damsel flies, also beautiful Six spot Burnet moths. Tranquil shady areas to walk through as well as the more open views across the valley. Deducted one star as the toilets were a bit basic when we visited and there were no refreshments available.
  • This is a little rustic gem hidden away in Devon. These gardens are a stunning place to spend a couple of hours wandering peacefully in a beautiful Devon valley, there is a warren of well maintained paths to walk along most can be done barefoot. There are plenty of places to stop and picnic or just take in the tranquillity of this gem. Be aware the facilities and parking at this place are very rustic! Always bring a picnic with you to enjoy a day here.
