  • I cannot express how much myself and my son enjoyed our day out here, despite the odd few rain showers. The staff were great - young and enthusiastic and very good with children. As my son was over 1....  read more »
  • Visited this weekend. Overall, very dissapointed. Went with a 2.5 yr old, wife and new born. £53 later we entered to find the stunt show wasn't on and a couple of the rides were broken. Initially as you go in the 'park' there's some small diggers you pay £1 for a go. Our son was interested in these. Of the 3 available diggers, 2 were broken and the other took my pound and the ride last 25 seconds. My sons face said it all. Not nice. I asked some staff walking by and the teenage attitude was just, "I don't know what's wrong with it, sorry". The small diggers in the park were fun for parent and child to use. A bit limited with how much digging can be done. Expect to que. There's not many rides or attractions at Diggerland, be prepared for that. Some attractions simply weren't available and others had staff operating 2 rides so we had to wait even though it was a quiet Sunday. Off for some lunch.... Simply, the cafe is grim. No other option unless you eat packed lunches outside. Expensive fairground style burgers, dirty and dingy decor. Overall, for an attraction in mid Devon with nothing else going for it locally, an £80 day for a family I felt wasn't worth the drive or money. The indoor soft play and bouncy castle is basic and when we were there, it was being overrun by older children. We expressed our disappointment about our experience to staff but they weren't interested to discuss it. I am happy to pay for a family attraction, as we did today at the model village Torquay (excellent; £20 odd for same family) and the steam railway at Paignton, bit Diggerland for us was a waste of money. I'd rather have paid a worker at the side of the road £10 for 5 minutes on his digger!
  • What can be wrong with a site that allows 7 year olds to take control of their own diggers and bobcats with not adult interference? A fantastic day out for all the family kids, dads and grandads (even grand mums - in our case!). So many things to do that even on a fine day queues can easily be avoided. Entry price may seem high until you see the kit you actually get to play with! Highly recommended!
  • I loved it. Not too busy, and queue times are small. Was a nice day and enough to keep you going for a long afternoon. As for the price, the entry was as expected and taking into account the costs to run the place it's fine to support it without feeling ripped off. Restaurant food prices were a little on the steep side for what it was.
  • No queue. Lots fun. Good for boys!
  • A good day out for the family. Initially looked a small place, but has lots to do. Only gripe is once you are in, some of the attractions require more money. And as its costs you nearly £20 a head to get through the gates, I think that's a bit too greedy. Other than that it's a fine place to go.
