  • Lots to see and some great little walks along the way. I was particularly enamoured with the pigs but all the little sites were great. Definitely worth a visit. Great value for money.  more »

  • Great fun for a different dog walk. I used their off road mobility scooter too which made it even more fun! The round houses are nice to see, they have been recreated really well, and you can chat to the person in charge or just wander round. The dogs enjoyed meeting pigs and sheep through the fence, even if one of the sheep decided he really didn't like our spaniel, and was threatening him. The river walk was nice, and would be great for kids with the barefoot trail where you have different surfaces to walk on, and the dogs liked being able to drink from the river at the end. Not somewhere to spend all day, but a good hours wander on a nice day on the way to other attractions.
  • Recreated Iron Age roundhouses in a beautiful rural setting. The little visitor centre with modern interpretation and cafe is a recent addition. We are regular visitors, and the activity days with costumes staff running activities such as bread making, weaving, etc definitely help to bring the site alive for us and our children!
  • Five stars. From the facepainting to the informative guide, to the hidden well and the carvings, to the pigs and reconstructed houses, everything is top class and enjoyable.
  • We had a great family day out here. Check out their website and go on a day when they have extra activities. They had loads of stuff going on when we visited, plays, story telling, face painting, sling shots etc. Each hut is built over the original post holes that were found as authentically as possible.
  • Wonderful setting for a walk and relive the iron-age setting.
