  • This was a superb occasion. 2 matches with the women followed by the u20's. The rugby was excellent and seats were spot on. I hope the Ricoh does this again!  more »

  • Presenting at the Ricoh Arena for Big Bang 2017. Although first time was during 2013 during an earlier Big Bang event. The focus was on educational sectors. parking was great and the hotel rooms very comfortable. Friendly staffs and an appealing city regarding attractions.
  • Following my earlier review of Twickenham, where I said it's my second favourite sporting venue, this is my first. Whilst it's capacity is massive for a club level rugby venue, it is never uncomfortably busy, which is owing to it's brilliant layout and structural design. The staff here are brilliantly helpful and always so friendly. I've been to many an event here, and am yet to have a bad word to say about them. The Ricoh has all manner of food and drink options available, both internally and through the shopping village a 5 minute walk away. The venue is well situated for all methods of transport, being just off of a major motorway, with bespoke bus, train and even canal boat services!
  • I wasn't here for football. It's vast and OK with a somewhat Nüremberg architectural style. Environments like this usually sap my will to live, but what was inside was entertaining and the catering had improved since my previous visit. If you trek across the car park, there's a tunnel leading to a retail park with quite a few decent shops. I don't know how the rooms are now since it's about 3 years since I stayed there. They refine in many way, but the place is very "blokey" so my room didn't, for instance, have a full length mirror. So fine for what it is, but it feels a bit too brutal for my taste.
  • I was here for an exhibition. So no experience with the sports events. Modern, light and well maintained facility... Connection with downtown could be better: 1 train per hour
  • Massive stadium with a really massive parking. The arena has the Doubletree by Hilton and a casino. Interesting that the casino probably gets more footfalls than anything else around. Lots of tables and open till 6am with some pretty decent food and drinks.
