  • Great museum that was free to enter, with donations. The map showing Coventry with the location of where different car and motorcycle manufacturers has been was amazing - they should make that a poster to buy or at least a postcard! I loved the range of 70s and 80s cars as that is when I grew up. There was a kids trail to find various things in each section, which kept our 7 year old daughter occupied. Had to go round a bit quicker as we had to be somewhere for lunch but still it took us 2.5 hours.
  • Fantastic! This is a big place. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of bikes and cars on display from 1800 to 2018. Laid out in (more or less) chronological order. Everything well, clearly and briefly labeled. A few videos on show as well. You can follow the numbers on the floor and walk through in chronological order, or move randomly between the rooms/areas. We went on Sunday, parked all day for £1 just 200 yards away. Great for adults or kids. I had no idea this place was there and was therefore expecting something much smaller. Entry is free!!! But do put money in the voluntary box as you go in, it's easily worth £10 per head as you'll agree when you've finished. We spent 5 hours there. This is the longest and most positive Google review I've ever given, and I've told everyone I know just what a brilliant place this is. I salute everyone involved in this project.
  • This is one of the best Transport museums in the UK, making the subject interesting even for those disinterested in the subject matter. It's location at the heart of Coventry city centre could not be more appropriate as it traces not only the history of motorised transport but also the city so integral to that history. The displays are excellent and there are some unique vehicles housed here such as Queen Mary's Daimler. Bicycles aplenty and land speed record holders add spice and variety to some of the more workaday products designed, developed and built in this great city. The icing on the cake is that this is an entirely free attraction. The shop is interesting and well stocked with some interesting automotive themed gifts. Front of house on the ground floor is located a very good cafe, which does a good line in light lunches. We have been carrying out a bi-annual pilgrimage to the Coventry Transport Museum for well over two decades now and it continues to fascinate on every visit.
  • For a free visit it's fantastic. Both my boys loved it and it's very close to the bus station as well. There has been some regeneration work done and there are loads of exhibits that children can play with as well. It's really close to the art gallery along with plenty of shops so all in all a good day out. The only reason it has 4 stars is the parking as it can get a bit tight but there are alternatives locally.
  • Good place for children and an excellent coffee shop. We have been many times with our grandchildren, there’s always something new so we don’t get bored with going. All the children have a wonderful time when ever we go. A voluntary contribution is asked for so the cost is what you can afford. very fair.
