  • You absolutely must visit this free museum. The development of modern transportation turns out to be an amazing context for experiencing British history. And this truly was an experience. Cheers,
  • Interesting place to visit, free entry would recommend for a day out.. plenty of old vintage stuff to see..
  • This place is a gem. Free entry and enough inside to keep you busy for hours. I loved the way that the exhibits followed a timeline right back from the earliest days of transport and right up to the p...  read more »
  • Free to get in (Although you should really put in a donation) and has some excellent exhibits. (land speed record holders for example) Informative , interactive and a fabulous layout meant that not only did I (a bit of a car geek) love it but so did my 5 year old daughter (the other half was enjoying herself too) Well worth the journey just to see this place alone.
  • Free to visit although can donate. Displays are well laid out with plenty of space. Building is very modern with free WiFi in café if drinking there. Definitely the jewel in the crown of Coventry as the rest of the city is still in development, but the video displays pit you in the picture regarding the areas importance to motor manufacturing in the UK
  • With Coventry being "British Detroit" for years the museum offers an exceptional collection of old cars and motorcycles. And while there I was amazed that the entrance is absolutely free. Other places charge £20 for smaller collections. Excellent place.
  • The museum has recently had a lot of money invested in it, more space and more exhibitions. Before the refurbishment it was a brilliant place where my six year old boy could spend hours playing with the exhibitions that were interactive. Now a lot of that interactivity has gone and it is more a case of walking and looking. It seems that the museum is now focused on the older visitor rather than the younger family. That said, it is really good for the entrance price (free). On My last visit there were just a few things not working such as the magnets on the car assembly line and a couple of screens. While this did not massively impact the visit it would be nice to have them fixed. After all the money that has been spent on it I'm sure they could afford a few pounds for a decent handyman.
  • Very interesting place. Set in the middle of Coventry with good bus links. The museum itself is quite big and very well put together. Lots of good history. There is a cafe attached that, while perhaps a little pricey, is very nice. When I went entry was free but we bought the guide book to contribute. The book was really quite interesting too and worth getting.
