  • Nice museum with lots of fascinating exhibits. A must for car or bike enthusiasts. Blown away by the huge Thrust monster machine that took the land speed record. Good place for business meetings too as they have some nice meeting rooms you can hire.
  • Just a great place to see the history of transport. It's free too. People of all ages will love it. Have been many times but never tire of it. Highly recommended
  • Good place to take children young and old! Lots of exhibits to see and interactive things for the children. Plenty of information for the car enthusiast to read about the exhibits as well as the history of the motor history in Coventry. Free to enter but be prepared for the expensive gift shop, especially if you have children. Also need to pay for the Thrust SSC experience.
  • I'm not particularly interested in transport myself but this place is worth at least one visit while you're in Coventry! First of all - it's free! Second of all - the museum is HUGE and has a great selection of transport and lots of interesting interactive displays! Enjoyed the simulator at the end too.
  • Comprehensive, very big, well laid out and it's unbelievable that it's free! A brilliant 2 hours and I could do it again to get the bits I probably missed.

Where to stay in Coventry

A stay among the Gothic and Victorian architecture of the city center is within walking distance of the main attractions. Consider a rental room or B&B on the medieval Spon Street or near the canal. Both locations are scenic and conveniently located near the city center. Full of local eateries and shops, the Earlsdon area offers less expensive apartment rentals.
