  • Lots to see and we'll presented attraction although a little small. You can see it all in about an hour. Entry is £5 per person.
  • Fantastic and very informative. Also sooo worth a fiver!! Shop slightly dated however overall experience very good.
  • Great museum if you're into geology, rocks and minerals. Small but a fab selection of stones in an unusual location. Really good gift shop after the museum with some unusual specimens. If you're not into geology, then the £5 entrance fee will probably put you off.
  • Very well presented exhibition of minerals, and some fossils. Identification and explanations are clear and helpful. Photography is allowed. Good and informative display. Worth a visit.
  • I really learnt something new! A little homemade, but really well thought out and presented. Shop has something for everyone, from £1.50 to nearly a £1000.

Where to stay in Fort William

A B&B along the high street provides access to pubs and cultural life. However, luxury hotels set among idyllic countryside are outside the city center. Consider a stay inside a refurbished historical building at one of the handful of guesthouses. less expensive lodging is also available in scenic areas within walking distance of the high street, or main street.
