A great place to visit, especially on a rainy afternoon. Quite an extensive collection of beautiful stones, gems, fossils etc. There's a gift shop but no cafeteria.
Not my usual idea of a fun excursion but I must admit that this was a very interesting place to visit. Even the kids (8 and 6) found something captivating about it and there is plenty to see and read ... read more »
We visit Treasures of the Earth almost annually on her feb half term visit to the Highlands. My older daughter collects rocks and gem stones so loves this exhibition. My younger is not as keen but she does like the shop. It's not a modern shiny museum. Its cold inside and feels like a step back Iin time but they do have some impressive rocks and gems to see.
Great place I've been plenty tines over the years being local good place for a pour day ☺
Terrible place, £5 each to get in and half the lights in the exhibition are either out or not bright enough to see what you're supposed to be looking at. Very run down and not exciting at all. Also one member of staff in the shop was so rude to us, we left feeling angry and my wife felt sick by the way this shop assistant treated us. We were the only ones in that day and I realised why! A total waste of £20 for the four of us, don't waste your hard earned cash!
My wee boy loved it! What a gem, hidden away in the Highlands. Staff were very friendly. Great collection.
Had a great time, lots to see, staff very helpful.shop is fantastic with a great range of products and gifts. an hour of great entertainment for less than a £5
