  • Transport yourself back to different time! Beautiful scenery, with lots of nooks and cranny's to explore at this National Trust site. There is a quaint tea house where you can get the best cream teas and events such as storytelling tours of the castle on throughout the year. It is not the easiest trek up to the top of the castle but there are plenty of places to rest on the way. Best time to visit... Christmas 🎅
  • A great place to visit. The ruin dates back to the 11th century. Its particularly good for kids. Our little one loves playing hide and seek up there and rolling down the grassy hill. One could easily spend 2h up there. Then there is the quaint village at the bottom. Beautifully preserved and well worth a stroll. One can explore small shops and the old church. We are members of the National Trust and can therefor visit for "free" as much as we like. It's highly recommended. If up for a treat - take the old steam engine from Swanage.
  • Fascinating location with years of interesting history. Definitely worth investigating. Car parking available at the heritage site but limited.
  • Very impressed with this vast castle. Great views, large grounds with lots of activities for kids during the holidays, including dress ups. It's very popular so parking can be a challenge.
  • Definitely worth stopping off if your in the area. Corfe town is beautiful too. We went an hour before closing which was quite good as there were not many people there. We went on a sunny day with clear blue sky and the views were breathtaking!
