  • If you have an imagination Kirby Hall will be a magical treat. It maybe rather delapidated in places but it is still Spellbinding. The gardens are also lovely. You probably won’t spend more than 40 mi...  more »
  • I feel so fond of Kirby Hall and have visited at least once a year for a long time. It's beautiful, peaceful and I adore the magnificent architecture. I feel like I should belong! Take a picnic if it'...  more »
  • An excellent place to visit if you enjoy letting you mind wander. There's enough that has been renovated to give you a taste of how it used to be, but with the rest, just stand and imagine.  more »

  • EH members so didn't cost us entry fee as such, visited with kids ranging 1-13yrs. Nice day so sat in gardens and grounds for extended time, unfortunately gardens were rather sparse and grounds over run with nettles so toddlers couldn't really explore. Ruined part of Hall great for kids to explore, felt the covered house section needed more somehow, however we didn't pick up the free audio tour handsets (as past experience has told us this doesn't work when chasing toddlers!), I'm guessing these make the house more enjoyable/interesting. Hot drinks facilities were sorely missed, even just a coffee machine in entrance/shop would have been appreciated. Nice afternoon, but not in a rush to visit again.
  • Great place for a nice calming walk through the ruins of the old Kirby hall. The kids loved the run around. It cost £22 gift aid for 4 adults and 2 children to get in. The gardens are gorgeous Well worth it. Also they sell wine at the receptionist buy. Very tasty as well.
  • Wonderful Place of history, I discovered Kirby Hall by accident a few years ago. It's peaceful away from all the traffic. Worth visiting as this was also famous for the filming of the Mansfield Park costume drama. I remember seeing the props after production of the film/drama ended.
  • A little gem. I've lived locally for over 60 yrs and never been to Kirby Hall. A fascinating experience! Well worth a visit.
  • A magnificent Tudor structure with beautifully laid out gardens. Easy to find using a SatNav. Good size parking area. The use of the audio tour is recommended.
