We arrived just after 12pm & left just before 4pm. We all had a fantastic afternoon (even our 13 year old!) spent walking round this working farm. We saw lots of lambs & were even lucky enough to see ... read more »

We visited here this afternoon for the second time. It's a really lovely farm with great staff and the lambing experience is a great one. A lovely summers days in a great atmosphere is the best way to... read more »
I accept that this is a working farm of course but its a Health and Safety nightmare !! Keep a close eye on the children at all times, at one point a full grown penned sheep was trying to escape and a young lady was trying to hold it down... with GREAT difficulty, if it had escaped there was numerous tiny kids in the barn, we saw the danger and picked ours up and went outside. There must have been over 100 people in the barn at the time and the pens were broken giving easy escape to the larger animals. Also the tractor driver delivering the hay was driving much too fast without warning he appeared, I accept there are signs, but did not see any children stopping to read them! There are not enough places to wash hands I only saw one and that was a mess. The barn selling souvenirs and drinks was disgusting... yes working farm.... but have visited others in many parts of the country and they manage to sell drinks etc in a cleaner environment. The children had a nice time took lovely pictures.. great to see the lambs being born and the tractor ride was good. Won't be returning to this farm. If you do go take hand cleanser etc.
I have heard mixed reviews about coombes farm so decided to go and see for myself. I have to say I was disappointed. For £10 I expected much more. The staff were very helpful and polite but for £10 it wasn't worth it. I took my 2 daughters. A 7 year old and a 3 year old. My advice is you should make under 4s free and under 10s half the price you charge or make the tracker ride free as part of the fee to get in. Tilgate park is massive it has so much for kids to do and that's excluding the nature park with the animals and it's so cheap. The animal zoo is only £1 per child and £2.50 for adults. That's value for money.
A wonderful experience being able to watch lambing on a working farm. The tractor ride was superb-amazing views from the top of the Downs. Our 2 grandchildren aged 3 and 5 enjoyed every minute and I felt the prices were very reasonable. We had a great welcome from all the team and will definitely be visiting again. Many thanks!
Brilliant farm tour. Went to see the lambs and have a picnic. Tractor ride was great too, the children loved it.
Lovely little farm. Been coming to see the lambs for 3 years now. Costs next to nothing to get in and they do tractor rides.
