Smallest House in Britain, Conwy

(4/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Visit the 3.05 m by 1.8 m (10 ft by 6 ft) Smallest House in Britain, the former home of Robert Jones. Jones was a fisherman, and he stood, ironically, over six feet tall. He left the house in 1900 because the government deemed it unsuitable to live in. Mind your head as you explore the tiny interior and poke your head up to see the second floor, only large enough for a bed and a small nightstand. Chat with the lady outside dressed in traditional Welsh garb. Add Smallest House in Britain and other attractions to your Conwy trip itinerary using our Conwy trip builder.

  • Along the harbor near Conwy Caste is the smallest house in Great Britain. It is 2 rooms and only 6 ft. wide. How a 6'3" fisherman lived there is very interesting. Just another tourist attraction that ...  more »
  • Only a ten minute (maximum) stop, but interesting to see and hear the history of this little place. I think it cost £1.00 to enter and so a cheap bit of fun to see how todays youngsters would react to...  more »
  • Not bad, living there, would be another thing. It has incredible views and the pub next door, to take something!

  • Has to be seen to be believed. Costs a quid to get in. Which is fair enough. You pay the lovely lady out front a pound and she gives you a little ticket. When you get in its crazy, barely enough room to say its well a...room more a cupboard with an upstairs. I've been facinated by it for years love it.
  • Tiny, entry is 50p but not much to see. Trinkets for sale outside, nice location with plenty to see in the walled town of Conwy. kids love crabbing off the harbour wall.
  • Only £1 for adult and 50p for children worth a look inside the last person to live there was a 6ft 3" fisherman wow. And the lady outside really nice
  • Lovely historic town of Conwy. Has its own castle. Good restaurants, nice pub by quayside . Great scenery. Loads to see and do in this very beautiful part of North Wales.
  • Just a joke, but in a small and beautiful city at the Welsh coast, which has a nearly complete medieval city wall. Great place to visit...
