  • Beautiful hidden gem, just 10 minutes walk from Congleton town centre. Very popular with locals and visitors alike. I have strolled around the whole perimiter with my wife and grandchildren, thanks to the path provided. My daughters use the Mere most Saturday mornings for the Park Run, and many other organisations use it too. For us, it is a family affair you could say!
  • We always enjoy a pleasant walk around the Mere. The walk takes about 30 to 40 minutes at a leisurely pace and is flat. Suitable for bikes and buggies etc. There is plenty of car parking spaces and a small cafe/ice cream van in the fine weather. Would recommend taking young kids to blow off some steam!
  • Lovely in the day for walking or running..But if you go after it's dark in winter time be prepared for dog attacks. I live just off the mere and run it regularly. In the day it's great but after dark irresponsible owners let their dogs off the lead which the have no control over. I've been bitten attacked 3 times and friends dog was mauled. Stick to the day time!
  • Great place for walking and with dogs. Very popular Park run on Saturdays.
  • Great circular walk
