  • I have been several times, as I live nearby. The garden itself is lovely and has been extended. On my last visit, however, they were re-surfacing the driveway which was like the Somme after the snows ...  more »
  • Lovely woodland gardens but the best part for us was the garden centre. A very impressive and wide selection of plants for shade and wet areas, the best I have seen, many grown on site. It is very wet...  more »

  • We visited in June and the Dry Garden is free with lots of wonderful plants and flowers that will grow in dry soil and do not need to be watered. There is a small fee to go around Beth's beautiful garden with its ponds and a courtyard garden near the house. I would love to visit it again as, last time we went, they were extending and replanting a large plot away from the house. The Tea Room is great and so is the nursery with a huge choice of plants.
  • Excellent range of plants available online. Customer service absolutely superb - I had a problem with one item from an autumn delivery and the matter was resolved within 72hours. Highly recommended as a source of hardy plants.
  • It was beautiful. We visited in August, so pretty much everything was at its best. Not too big, but very well laid out with plenty of places just to sit and admire the view. Will definitely be back.
  • Note that I'm reviewing a winter visit, I imagine it would be much better in warm months. In early February it was just starting to bloom a bit, but most things were drab and the impression overall was underwhelming. The staff was friendly. I imagine the tea house would be nice on a sunny day. Maybe not worth a visit in the off season unless you want to buy some planting supplies or for tea.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed my day here. Got lots of ideas for ground cover which I need at the moment. Tea rooms are lovely with the most amazing cakes. Will definitely revisit soon.
