Staff on the front desk are rude. Clearly don't like people who use Tesco vouchers so why the company have signed up to the scheme I don't know!! Drink prices are ridiculous, a milk shake for £1.50 se... read more »

A large purpose built smooth wooden skating arena with a modest cafeteria and bar. It's stood the test of time and been open for years. The staff are friendly, it's a good venue for a fun family jolly. You can hire skates or bring your own.
Yesterday (05/03/16) I attended my nieces birthday party with my son. My son decided he didn't want to skate and was adamant he wouldn't. My sister (who was holding the party) is partially disabled. My sister agreed to sit with my son as she can't skate anyway due to her condition. They sat down at a table and they were quickly challenged by a member of staff apparently you can't sit at the tables without buying something from the cafe !! ok so her partner goes to get some drinks. Next obviously people coming to a birthday party need somewhere to put coats and shoes which we had at the table which we had bought drinks to sit at but no you can't have things at the table they must be put in lockers which ok were only 20p a go. next comes the food thing there was tannoy announcement which is the easiest way to alert people but no you have to go and round up everyone yourself not an easy task trying to round up 10 kids who are skating. the cafe prices were expensive for questionable quality food and drink. the other point my sister told me it was 14 pounds a head however on the day in question it was 7.90 entry and 4 for a meal deal. now that would make 11.90 a person apart from staff bringing out a birthday cake you might as well just turn up and go skating for 7.90 and go elsewhere for food. honestly speaking the food they served was worse than can be found in McDonalds !!. Now this greedy money making exploits ruin what could be a great place as coming here and for the time I was able to skate was great fun (despite falling on my backside 3 times :) ) and reminded me of the old days of the the roller city.
Roller world and Quasar is very good for a few hours of rollerblading. It is very spacious amd big
Great place for roller skating with a large purpose built maple wood rink. The Quasar arena on-site is good fun too in its own right. Choose your time carefully to get the best value also arrive early to avoid being stuck in the long and slow moving queue and missing the early doors entry prices.
Brilliant place. Absolutely loved it. Staff are friendly, lots of room to fall over! Will go again.... Many times
