  • Went here with my 7 year old for a private party. It was great fun. Shallow pool for the little ones and deep "Rapids" for the confident swimmers. The green flume can be ridden with parent for the non confident swimmers. I have wanted to go here before, but have phoned up in the past and the queue has been going round the car park!
  • I had been a loyal member of the gym for two years. However my patience started to wear thin ... The machines in the gym hardly ever work, I run and the screens on the tread mills are constantly frozen it is extremely frustrating. Staff members are extremely rude, they clearly do not care for their jobs. They don't like to be asked questions and do not want to help in anyway. The lockers constantly swallow my pounds and I never get them back, I haven't got time to ask one of the slow, rude incompetent staff to come and retrieve. I've asked once before they tried to get it out and couldn't and didn't even replace it. I know it's only a pound but after a few months it builds up as it happens a lot. The breaking point was recently when they suddenly to actually start putting the gym barriers down as they should of been doing all along. My card wouldn't work, so when I asked at reception a very rude receptionist barked at me that I hadn't completed my induction! I had been at that gym for years, I did my induction years ago... she told me that I was lying then sent me to the gym reception to explain, greeted by probably not the sharpest tool in the box or maybe he was just rude as well, he also told me the same after what seemed like a very long time to look on a computer. So I cancelled my memberships with a ridiculous £20 cancellation fee for awful customer service, machines that do not work, poor hygiene and a very out dated gym / pool. Avoid at all costs! It isn't a pleasant experience There are many gyms in colchester offering far more and with staff who actually care for their jobs and customers! I've moved to Topnotch and do not look back - I wish I did it years ago. It's also cheaper, friendly, well equipped and CLEAN
  • The health and safety instructions are not clear enough. The members of the public should know much more of the safety rules before they use any of the slides, especially 'Rapid Slide .It's one of the most dangerous rides with build slopes underneath the water (where does it say about /up the hills and down the hills ????). The members of staff wasn't very helpful at all. I was very disappointed!
  • Very very cool but the queues are a bit ridiculous I will be honest and I know it's a popular place but the amount of people they let in can get crowded. Long queues getting in and for the rides etc. The rides and pool itself are Okay, changing rooms are fine but one time could've been cleaner. You have to pay for both the leisure pool and the normal pool and the lifeguards will check that you have (well they did for me anyway ) as I tried to go up there for a swim but was told I couldn't. I don't get why it's not just 1 price for all the pools etc that would be better. Generally not too bad and It is certainly worth a visit.
  • Did my instructor training at Colchester Leisure world and it was horrible! The gym was not up to standard and the health and safety was none existent. I wall mirror was smashed, what a believe to be a sick bucket and warning sign was left on the middle for the free weight mats was two days, the actual mat where loose and pealing upwards and easy to tip over and the cable pulleys were so worn down they could snap! Disappointed!
