  • You can glimpse the history of Colchester in the free! Small museum is 30 minutes – ends in less than an hour. I think large Dollhouse is a sight to see. Museum of children and adults alike can enjoy, so take a look at go and see!

  • It's a great museum. A must see for the clock enthusiasts.
  • Great museum focused on social history
  • great place to visit, and it is free
  • Lovely day out
  • I loved this museum...I'm 62 and this had so much equipment, toys and school stuff from my youth.I also enjoyed looking at the portraits, especially the sour faced woman from 17oo's who had 15 children,125 grandchildren,300+ greatgrandchildren and so on...Sunday dinner at hers must have been a riot!My grandchildren enjoyed the exhibits too and the little gift shop. The museum is free and well worth a visit.
