After really looking forward to visiting here we both left feeling very disappointed. From leaving the car to getting back into it was 20 minutes. After paying £10.90 for both of us ( that does mean a...  more »

Having been to the brilliant Alford Five Sail Windmill, we thought we'd give the Water mill a try. Lovely setting and with a complete rethink of their business model, this place could be brilliant. I ...  more »

  • Very pleasant afternoon. So restful and cool by the water admiring the birds and animals. Had cake and coffee which was very tasty. Keep going back because place and staff are so welcoming and helpful.
  • We visited the mill and were very disappointed in the overall appearance after paying £4.95 each - concession prices. We were told there was more to see across the road, all there was to see was a very run down play area that I wouldn't like children playing in - we expected to take much longer to look around but really 30 minutes is enough - we had seen on you tube a gift shop in fact just a few things on show where we paid our admission and the museum just had boards on the walls whereas again on you tube there were other exhibits on windowsills and the floor - where has everything gone?- everywhere looked so rundown, we enjoyed a drink out in the sunshine and drove off to have a picnic elsewhere -
  • Lovely short visit with a reasonable entry price, especially if you can return during the following year when it's free. Cafe good, with a range of cakes. I would like the option to have a bigger cup of coffee though! Animals are well presented and you can buy feed for fowl and fish.
  • A small and exciting treasure. Visited and enjoyed it all. Our small boys loved all the different animals and birds especially the opportunity to feed them. The cafe was excellent too, with good food and polite staff.
  • Nice place to visit, not much to do other than have a quick meal and a drink, few animals for the kids look at but couldn't really spend more than an hour or two here.
