  • Lovely park in the shadow of a motte and bailey castle. Loads for the kids to do and plenty for the adults to look at as well. There's a lovely cafe situated in an old Victorian railway station if you fancy a coffee They have a large play area that suits all ages of kids. It's also completely fenced in so there is some peace at mind there. And once have finished at the park, there is always the lovely town of Clare to explore. One of Suffolk's best!
  • Always have such a great time here, walking the dogs, feeding the ducks and kiddies in the park. Beautifully well kept and love the insect hotel.
  • Everything was great the park.. the walks...the ruins Hill but the only reason for my 4 stars is for the food, the food was nice but the portions were tiny and I'm not a big eater but they were small and there was a long wait I'm not going to not go back as it was busy so I understand but next time I might take a picnic ;) But overall great day out and staff were lovely!
  • Really worth a visit when the weather is good, for families or adults out for a peaceful day. The castle mound is steep and good exercise, the river tranquil, the old railway buildings interesting, and the walk on the disused railway trackbed very pleasant. Something for everyone.
  • During the brief period the country park has been in the hands of the new trustees the park has been totally transformed. Great parking with reasonable fees, as well as ample disabled parking. A new cafe has recently opened in the old station house well worth a visit. Very much looking forward to the planned improvements that will be delivered following the successful HLF bid.
