  • Very pretty park with river running through lots of wildlife, badgers squirrels and deer with swans and wildfowl on the river. Serene walks
  • Had the opportunity to have a short walk around Clare and finished with a walk through the Clare Country Park. Good space for dogs and plenty of dog bins.

  • A great park with walks, kids play equipment, and features of historic interest. One historical point of interest includes an impressive rooftop view of the local area.
  • We drove out here for the afternoon. The car park is £1 for an hour or £2 for as long as you want to be there! We walked over to Clare Antique and Vintage Tea Room for a bite to eat and browse then started off by looking at the castle ruin information board before then walking along part of the old railway bed! We then turned round and walked along the party along by the river Stour and then round the lake. We took another path that led us to the old Priory ruins and gardens. I went into what used to be a little Catholic Church which has now had an enormous atheistically tasteful extension added to it! A very pleasant afternoon. There is also a play area and toilets which we didn't visit.
  • Lovely quiet place to visit, even with the craft festival going on at the Priory. Interesting to see the old rail station & an enjoyable walk along the old track line.
  • Fantastic hidden English Village, full of history with the Castle and Priory.
  • Great place for a walk and good views from the castle ruins.
