  • This is a super museum, with the main focus on the Roman history of Cirencester, but covering other time periods as well. The highlights have to be the Roman mosaics carefully removed from the original locations, but it has a wide range of carefully chosen artefacts - but not so many as to be overwhelming. It's very child-friendly with lots of activities to engage younger visitors. I particularly liked the 'bite-size' summaries of information panels for those with shorter reading attention spans. Also many interactive screens. There also are some other really thoughtful touches to this museum - unexpectedly, the placing of furniture in a 'room' with one of the mosaics really brought to life the fact that this was a prized flooring in someone's home, once upon a time. I've been to the Corinium Museum multiple times already, and I'm sure I'll be back.
  • Terrific museum . Exhibits of Roman mosaics and artefacts displayed in first class cases. Lots to do for all the family . Child friendly .
  • Amazing history well displayed and suitable for all ages. Excellent family activity .
  • A gem well worth visiting, not just once and not just for Roman artefacts and info. Some superb Anglo Saxon items as well.
  • A good local museum tracing back to the Romans times of Cirencester, also houses a cinema. A good couple of hours can be spent here.
