  • Young family to pay to go in here - personally; wasn't value for money for us. Not much left of the building but location is great. The village itself is fantastic. Don't expect much :/  more »
  • I wasn't going to review the castle but the chap at the ticket office was so friendly and helpful I thought he was worth a mention. The castle is a classic ruin but you can actually walk through the u...  more »

  • Great. Ruins of a castle sitting above a gorge with amazing vantage point. It's princess's lineage can be traced down to JFK and Princess Diana. Easy to do in a morning with kids. Get up onto the walls and into the towers. Picnic spot too and a brilliant site manager who engages the kids and adults alike with the history of the place. Definitely recommended.
  • If you are a member this place is great. Lovely people. Really enjoyed it, but I would not have paid as it's very small
  • Lovely place, but if you follow the signs for the car park it's situated at the bottom off the hill next to the river, which is lovely and a great place for a picnic, but then you have to walk up a path to the top which is muddy and quite slippy in places when wet and is not suitable for wheelchairs or any one who doesn't like to walk,or unable to walk far. I would advise you to park in the street at the top it's a lot closer.
  • Great day with the Family. There were jesters to entertain the children and they were great. It took us a couple of hours we had lunch on the local pub and then went back for the Jesters performance. We had not really planed the day so it was a great surprise. It will take a family about 1.5h to explore normally.
  • Great value, well looked after site that is free for both NT and Cadw visitors and cheap for everyone else. Great fun for the children and fantastic views.
