  • This is a great little museum in the former workhouse buildings. Not only does it cover the history of Christchurch but also a lot of the surrounding area including the iron age settlements at Hengistbury Head and local geology. Beautiful gardens and a nice little shop too.
  • Interesting and packed with local and social history, well worth a visit
  • Paid a visit to this local favourite of mine, the Red House Museum and Gardens, who are currently displaying early history, in the local area. Now I have seen a Mammoth's tooth, I realize how big they were! But, also Bargates was a Saxon burial site, who would have guessed? All in all, an entertaining and educational time.
  • Very interesting local history museum which was one a Workhouse
  • Nice little museum, free entry and good for kids (for about 30 mins distraction ;-)
