I was with a friend who knew about this place which is a little bit off the beaten track and surrounded by commercial premises. There is a coffee shop which also sells wine. My friend was after a cup ... more »
My husband, Neil and I recently visited Station Mill Antiques Centre (again) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. We have had very good service, especially from Craig and Stephanie. It is a great place to browse both for smaller items and larger pieces of furniture. They clearly turn over their stock very quickly. There is always a lot of new things to tempt you. This Sunday we bought a display cabinet for our shop, which was delivered on Monday! Great service! Thank you.
Forget about those lovely antique dealers you see on television; and forget about antique dealers who are prepared to haggle with you pleasantly. The staff and dealers here are a hard-bitten bunch who don't really seem to care whether or not they make a sale. In the past we have asked for a dealer to ring back after we made an offer - and no-one bothered. Some weeks ago we asked for the best deal on a really over-priced painting in very poor condition. The dealer's absolutely best price was a reduction of five per cent! You will spend perhaps an hour or two looking around and you might discover a treasure but it is unlikely because at a guess, three quarter of the items are pretty awful. Your time will be much better spent a few miles away at The Quiet Woman antiques centre on the A44 where the quality is immeasurably higher and the staff far more pleasant.
Lovely items Well laid out. Shame cafe only accepts cash though, we had planned on having light lunch but only had enough cash for pot of tea!
Nice little bric a brac centre with some good antique items available.
Lovely place to look round and buy antiques friendly staff
