  • Well worth a visit and finding out about its history. When we visited there were cured animal skins displayed for sale. Mixed feelings but interesting to see colouring of various breeds of cattle.  more »
  • Just a short drive north of Broadway Tower is Chipping Camden, one of the prettiest market towns I manage to visit while road tripping through Cotswold. It's already evening when I got here so a stroll close to sunset was quite refreshing. Chipping Camden is actually a pretty town to spend the night. It's quite a treat to be able to live in the old market town and be in close proximity to beautiful gardens and fields such as Hidcote Manor and Snowshill. It's also the start/end point of the Cotswold Way, a hiking trail that stretches 102-miles along the Cotswold all the way to Bath. One of the best part about old English towns such as Cipping Camden is that the Main Street is lined with shops in limestone terraces. The unique thing I felt about it is that each terrace is unique and differs from the one next door so that it creates a sense of diversity yet contain some uniformity. The High Street particularly in Chipping Campden is particular picturesque. Start from this historic Market Hall and walk down the long street!
  • Built by some of my ancestors. Quite rustic, but I could picture myself on such a lovely day as I visited mingling with others of the day.
