  • Fantastic setting and even lovlier people to deal with! We cannot wait until we have our wedding there in June this year.  more »
  • The carpet of snowdrops in bloom, the winter garden with its colors you couldn't imagine, the animal sculptures scattered here and there, the stop at the Park café with soups, all made pleasant this lovely day in Chippenham open only 3 weeks in February. Winter also has the advantage of not finding crowded places, and you can turn with the tranquility and peace that the place deserves

  • There are various open-garden weekends throughout the year, and these gardens are well worth a visit, particularly in snowdrop and daffodil season. Parking is around £10, but Chippenham residents (on foot) get in for free. There is a cafe on site, which we haven't used. To encourage you to use it though, they don't allow visitors to take a picnic, which is a real shame and a little short-sighted.
  • Our first visit to the gardens to see the snowdrops, but so much more to see! The statuary (would love the hare in our garden), the lake with swans, hellebores, crocuses and much more besides.
  • Lovely snow drops. Fiver to get in is prety reasonable.
  • Immaculate working country estate Dream wedding venue Must see seasonal open days Guest accommodation is appointed to the highest standards in converted stables alongside a fine kitchen garden. Trout pools, arbours, box hedges, enormous marquees, meandering meadow walks, stoked braziers, welcoming owners.... Downton without the drama.
  • A lovely setting.
