Where to stay in Canterbury

To explore Canterbury at your own pace, book your rooms at a family-run hotel in the heart of this historical city. Staying in this area keeps you close to all of the city's main historical sites, as well as its major shopping center. Family-run hotels offer traditional values, warm hospitality, and fully-licensed bars and restaurants, all at a fraction of the cost of the big hotel chains. For an equally comfortable and affordable stay, consider one of many centrally located guesthouses, which feature elegant rooms and covered courtyards.

  • Great place to drop into for a couple of hours, whether to visit the shop or to enjoy lunch within the restaurant. Service is very good. If you walk along the pathway you will even find a small animal farm with pigs and other animals.
  • I've been here a few times, I love it. Unfortunately it's starting to look a bit run down.
  • Nice little spot to take the kids for an hour or two. Lovely playground and a small selection of animals along with a nice little shop and cafe. Food is good and priced reasonably, loses one star because it always takes a long time to get served, although did generally comes quite quickly once you have placed an order.
  • Brilliant petting zoo - ideal for the small children. And coffee and cakes at reasonable prices too...
  • Great food nice walk round the farm area to see some animals brilliant to take children
