The children really enjoyed this visit to badgers hill, they especially enjoyed stroking the donkey though the fence. We stopped for a cup of tea surrounded in various birds and bought some local jam ... read more »

Arrived at 4:50 which whilst is late in the day it's not 5, wanted to grab a bite to eat but was told very abruptly that the shop closes at 5 so they won't be serving me.. Errr... well it not 5 you dumb ass.. Would rather search out road kill than venture back to these rude obnoxious lot
I took my dog to the farm, she was allowed in the shop and we sat outside to eat lunch :) The home made cakes were lovely and went perfectly with the fresh coffee. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The cider is amazing and you can tell that it is fresh! I'm glad that I tried it first as although I like my cider dry, their dry is VERY dry - my lips nearly turned inside out! I took a medium and it was perfect!
I am rating purely on the cider NOT the venue which was great. I bought some cider today which they supply in a new plastic container (like the ones you buy milk in.) When I got home after a couple of hours I found the cider had a very distinct plastic taste and I had to throw it away. I suspect they order these containers new and they don't wash and rinse them thoroughly before filling them with the cider. I would suggest the management do a test to see if I am correct or if there could be another explanation.
