  • Where can I start.! Bored donkeys,in a barren concrete enclosure. They were so bored that they were eating their way through the fence. Leaving nails exposed. One of the giant rabbits had bad ears and...  more »

  • Great place with very helpful and friendly staff. Very accommodating to me and my family. Birds were extremely friendly and fun to (literally) talk to! We spent about an hour speaking to the birds in the gardens! Had a nice lunch, freshly cooked and well presented with a good variety of meals, drinks and snacks, followed by a nice walk in the well-tended-to gardens and a walk down 'Animal Avenue' to feed the Tortoises and Rabbits. A very family-friendly place, great for children and great for anyone who fancies a pleasant walk through gardens and friendly animals!
  • Please don’t take your children to this place . My two older kids were quiet distraught at the badly homed animals and wanted to help the sick animals. As well as to take the lonely donkey home . On arrival the lady preparing the food had to stop to take our money. Did she wash her hands who knows. She also had a small dog sat in food prep area with her , is this allowed, is this hygienic. This is our second visit, we originally went about two years ago when most of the place looked fresh and new , now it just looks tired and in need of a big money and care injection. Otherwise is should be closed for sake of the animals.
  • Mostly undercover so perfect for a rainy day, walking amongst the tropical butterflies is a very peaceful, relaxing experience, and the interaction with the birds can be very entertaining, or just fascinating watching them just being birds. I love the intriguing maze of indoor gardens, and the free garden game to win a helium balloon is great fun for the whole family. The animals (mostly rescued) are quite content in their natural -as-possible enclosures, there are some enormous tortoises, and you can feed some of the animals too. There's a nostalgia museum, crazy golf, and a display of local shipwreck items, a good café with lovely cakes and a picnic area. Something for everyone ☺
  • Butterflies and animals all well looked after and great to see. But I felt the grounds and cafe could have been maintained better. Let it down a bit. expected better for the £9.50 entrance price.
  • Great place to see butterflies and birds up close. Never seen animals so tame especially the butterflies budgies that sit on you! Buildings could do with improving but that's not what you go to look at to be fair.
