  • Small but a fascinating building and well worth a visit. Very good guides who expalined it all very well.

  • NT member so did not pay for tickets on day ... and need to book on line as venue small and guided tour access only ... these facts notwithstanding, BEST historic mill visit in 56 yrs of being dragged and, of late, being the dragged around such places Staff were polite and welcoming, and Trevor the guide was well informed, well spoken and keen to engage with 'dragged' sons (17 & 12) ... always good to have those who both know their stuff and can talk 'with' (and not 'at') their visitors 🙂... Building is well maintained and (as expected for an historic mill) has steep steps (ladder really) to first floor for part of tour ... At time of visit mill was not operational Visited 10:30 Monday so crowds not vast 🙂 but nonetheless experience was unhurried with plenty of time to ask and chat ... approx 30 minutes door in to door out ... Well worth the time (and ££ if non-member) ... kids all ages but little ones will need to be carried up ladder-stairs ... No catering or toilets on site but the Bess's big place is just down the lane ...
  • A fabulous place to visit. Furnishing enabled you to imagine life as it was in the day . Staff very friendly.
  • Really friendly staff and very knowledgeable, it's not a big place but it's very interesting and worth a visit.
  • Interesting to see a rim drive high breast shot wheel. Be good to see it working soon.
  • Great condition mill, very interesting setup. Volunteers were all great and knowledgeable. Sadly no milling at the moment and hasn't been since the first lockdown but hopefully that can pick up again soon.
