  • Great little hall, although you kind of feel like peasants visiting this whilst people with more money visit the 'new hall' with actual windows and a roof. Definitely worth a trip to and there are stairs inside so you can get up to the top. If you're an English Heritage member, remember that you get free parking, so don't let the National Trust troll on the gate tell you differently.
  • Join national trust! You can visit both halls. More to do as well.
  • Easy to spend a whole day here visiting both the main Hall & ruins.
  • Lovely place with different walks.
  • Excellent ruins, although not an awful lot to do!
