  • OK if you're interested in archaeology and Romans, but to promote it as an 'experience' is probably a bit on the ambitious side. It probably only takes half an hour to get through the building and £5.50 per adult makes it a bit on the expensive side, especially for what is essentially a few holes in the ground with a roof over the top, with a couple of displays thrown in. Perhaps this seems a little on the harsh side, but not my best place to visit. In mitigation, at least the staff were friendly.
  • Visited here last week expected more specially for the price but my boys enjoyed it. Wont be returning an certainley will not recommend
  • If you ate a school book here.
  • Kids loved it
  • Decided to visit during February half term after visiting the web site. Really expected more during school holidays like staff dressed as romans interacting with visitors but the only member of staff we encountered was at the till on the way in. Be warned in advance to take cash as you cant pay with a debit card. All said it took less than half an hour. The Grosvenor museum is close by and is free, and has plenty on Roman history.
