Where to stay in Chester

Chester is not only steeped in Roman history, but also packed with a wide range of modern lodging options. The selection of hotels runs the gamut from family-run operations to luxury big-name brands, known for offering spacious rooms upstairs and Michelin-rated cuisine downstairs. Most of Chester's finest hotels are located within the diminutive city center, which makes them an ideal base for exploring everything this urban area has to offer. A wider variety of less expensive options, including cozy B&Bs and traditional inns, is located a short walk from the town center.

  • Our visit was to attend a wedding, the wedding breakfast was delicious and cooked perfectly. We also stayed over night in a standard room, this was very clean with everything you would expect from a modern hotel. During our stay we also made a visit to the spa as this was built in with the price. Unfortunately as we were with children we were only allowed in the pool until 12pm however it was still worth the visit.
  • Wonderful hotel set in nice countryside food was great and rooms were ample and comfortable beds
  • Stayed here for two nights with the aim of using it as a base to explore the area. Neither of us play Golf, and by the look of most of the families visiting, neither did they. Lovely place with magnificent views, and plenty of local walks for those inclined. Our room was of an excellent standard, and clearly geared towards business users.
  • Superb short break location. 2 great golf courses, great food and lovely rooms.
  • Lovely course good meal. Bit of a treat around to get to the room lugging heavy stuff. Up and down
