Had such a great day here. Rides were brilliant and really good fun. Can't wait to go back. Much better then Alton towers and all the rides are close together so you don't end up totally knackered at ... read more »

Great if you are a thrill seeker! It gets very busy though, so make sure you go off season if you are able to. It's very compact so you don't get the nice open space and gardens like Alton Towers. On the flip side, you don't have to walk far to your next ride.
Just got back from Thorpe park and I am pretty disappointed. we stayed in the on site accommodation which on the website is called a hotel! It is not a hotel and I advise you to check the pictures on the website if you are considering staying. Also it is not for claustrophobic people as there are no windows! It is a lock up like you see on the back of big ships for transportation ha The park itself is quite small and can easily be done in a day. The rides are really good, there just isn't enough of them and so ride times can get quite high. I would also warn you that food like all theme parks is expensive and you will have to wait a while and be patient as the staff aren't well trained and don't know what they are doing.
We were here for the whole day and only managed about 6 rides. The rides were good, don't get me wrong, but the wait times were appalling. They were sending carriages with a few empty seats a lot of the time which they should be filling with single passengers. Food and drink was overpriced. Lengthy delays due to technical issues and people being sick on rides. It only takes 5 mins to clean some sick off, not 40 minutes! A lot of potential but ended up being quite a big let down.
When we visited it was extremely busy, loads of school coach trips. This resulted in queues of 60 - 90 mins in length for the big rides. 5-10 for the little kiddy rides. Our kids are 4 and 5 and could only do about 6 rides. Not really worth it if you have little kids, but they do offer a parent queue share pass if you really must go for the big rides.
i went to thorpe park yesterday and it was sh*t the whole day went by and we only went on three rides which i dont even consider rides we went at 10:00 the rides had such long queues i would not have even rated this 1 star but the dodgems were good aswell as rush and zodiac p.s those were the only so called rides we went on. we went on stealth waited in the queue for 2 hours got to the gate to go in the carriage how ever some dum b***h lost her phone on the ride which we were told fifty odd times to not take on with us onto the ride. the ride was delayed for 15 mins then it started to rain so the ride got closed for another 20 mins they told us to go off as soon as we got off the ride they started it again the only thing i liked was the fish and chips i would rather go drayton manor seriously if you wish to hate on this comment my gmail is open to all :)
