  • I went with 2 friends as a Christmas present. We had a shared table in the heated marquee with a cream tea as part of the ticket. As it poured with rain all day, this was quite pleasant, there was a t...  more »

  • We went as a family to Chepstow Racecourse for the Welsh Grand National - we know it is busy as we have been before, but this year was horrendous for traffic/parking control. The 'yellowcoats' seem to...  more »

  • This review is for their own events and race course as a venue. Chepstow hosts many events which are not all about equestrian. Chepstow Stampede held yearly in October is an Obstacle Course race held for children and adults on 1km, 5km, 10km courses. A bit of mud, some good puddles to jump in, natural terrain and their in house built obstacles. Filthy Girl Mud Run uses this course too. Wear sensible race attire for this race, (trail or fell shoes). Venue has large clean toilets very large bar quite long so you can all gather to order your pints. Grand stand can fit a large number of spectators. Granstand view of northern head of the horse racing track is a bit obscured to due terrain. The bar is treated as a secure bag drop for their "human" races. Plenty of parking opposite the venue, gravel parking zone. Bus shuttle on horse racing days from train station. Local taxis, and a nice town a few km away.
  • Good race course x they hold special event nights x we went on a Will Young eve x had a few bets on the horses then live music x take a portable seat or risk standing long times or sitting on the concrete steps
  • Beautiful racecourse good facilaties
  • Easy parking. Fun day.
  • Great race course. Plenty of room under cover to avoid the rain or sun, but still have an excellent view of the racing. Only a small part of the course is out of site of the stands briefly when the horses are racing. Food and drink are available from mobile venders or an indoor restaurant.
