Indoor and outdoor activities, such as the preschool gardening and craft club, will entertain kids, and conditions are usually ideal for kite flying. Get hands-on with bulb and seed planting, scavenger hunts, and wild honey and apple tasting. • I came to Hyde Hall almost every day for a while when I was needing a quiet place away from the busy world. Taking photographs gave me a purpose. I took thousands of photographs and posted them on Google Plus. This gave me even more pleasure because I had a purpose and could enjoy sharing the photographs when I got home. I would have a snack at the cafe, take a look at the pond and cover just about every inch of the garden. Every moment of my visits was pure pleasure. The staff were kind and helpful too. Thank you, very sincerely, everyone who works/volunteers at Hyde Hall, I love you all.
  • At the moment there is a guided walk starting at 11am on Tuesdays for about 90 minutes with stops for information about the trees, plants and wildlife. The RHS garden and woods occupy around 600 acres and there are plenty of trails to follow. The formal gardens were well kept and still colourful in October. There are two excellent cafés and plenty of picnic tables around the garden if you've brought your own food. At the visitor centre there is a large plant shop which also has all sorts of gardening bits and pieces, books and quality giftware
  • We went there after Gardeners World featuring it last month. A disappointing trip. We went there for peace and quiet and the noise of hedge trimming was deafening most of the time. Also the chair covers in the café were so dirty we couldn't sit on them. Made our way (quite a climb) up to the restaurant but the queue was a mile long. Not much to see and not surprised most people only stay for an hour!
  • i love this place, I have been a few times now It changes with the seasons and there is always something new to see. In October they had lots of pumpkins laid out which was fun! Meal there was great too, see photo
  • visited Hyde halls taste of autumn show (7'th October). The garden was as nice as usual. But the so called show, What a disappointment 'If I was not a member and had to pay I would have asked for a refund
