  • all original! and, given the type of building you don't often find this kind of reality from vintage military buildings enthusiast I support I was very impressed!

  • Excellent value, for money. Great displays to keep all ages entertained. If only they continued to use it as a prison instead of the luxury they get now.
  • This is the most intact castle I have seen. So if you want to experience the true atmosphere of a castle in medieval times then you must visit The castle is in a lovely small town so there are pubs and restaurants nearby for lunch visits. There are figures and voices in some of the castle rooms which makes the visit even more entertaining. The staff are friendly and talkative too.
  • The castle has been perfectly restored to its former glory, and is filled with information on what it was used for and how things were in the past. Do ask the attendants for any information as we found them very very helpful and knowledgeable; they enjoy being there./
  • Great place to learn some of the history of the island. Some fantastic views from the top.
  • The name of the village sounds of course like they have a castle and it is true beautiful Medieval castle there.
