  • Such a beautiful and serene ceremony room in fabulous gardens. Ideal venue for a wedding as long as guests can manage the uneven spiral staircase. Well it is a castle after all.
  • Hedingham is an essential castle to visit for anyone interested in medieval history. It is one of the best preserved Norman keeps, and interesting to compare with Rochester castle (the tallest), which...  read more »
  • Come with my husband and children and withing a hour we had see everything is over priced gate fee for not a lot to experience
  • Medieval Siege 2nd May. WOW what a great day something for all the family, action packed, Hedingham and Medieval Siege you ROCK.
  • Such a stunning place for a wedding , every one was so helpful , the only downside , is the steps, but then you got to expect them
  • Recently we hired out Hedingham Castle as a filming location for a one day video shoot. The entire process of working with Hedingham and general manager Simon Orr could not have been smoother or more pleasant. Simon was incredibly flexible and hospitable, was more than on hand to offer help when needed and was also happy to leave us to it when we were comfortable we had all the information we needed. The castle and the grounds are absolutely beautiful and offer ample green room space, kitchen facilities and parking. If we are ever in need of a similar style location for a future shoot Hedingham is the first place I will look.
  • Absolutely loved it there. Simon is brilliant. Definately recommend checking out the castles event days.
  • A bit lacklustre. Limited planting in the garden, poorly displayed information inside (laminated paper signs). We had looked on the website for events on the day we visited and found none, but when we arrived there was an educational day on for four or five local schools (over 200 children in groups rotating around the castle and grounds). We would have left them to it had we known, but we had driven quite a way so we pressed on with our visit.
