  • We popped out for a couple of hours and had a look at this castle in Castle Hedingham. It's set in woodland so you have a woodland walk on the way to the castle. There's a nice lake with a duck house ...  more »
  • We love Hedingham Castle and so it was the obvious choice for us for our wedding last Sunday. Everything was absolutely amazing! The staff couldn't be faulted, from our wedding planners, My lady in wa...  more »
  • We went with two friends. Entry fee is good value at £15 per couple which also includes parking. The grounds are beautifully kept and are a great place to have a picnic which is what we did. The castl...  more »
  • A very well preserved 12th century Norman keep. It is privately owned and is set in beautiful grounds. There are several large ponds and the grounds are ideal for picnics. Inside the keep there is a small coffee area. The food selection is quite small however, limited to cakes, though these are very nice. No lunch type food looks to be available. Teas and coffees are nice and are served in China mugs. The keep has 4 assessable floors and there are description plaques describing what life was like in medieval times. There are several displays suitable for children. They can try on various items of clothing for instance. Entry price is reasonable at £15 for a couple. Well worth a visit but take your own food.
  • Great place for a venue. Beautiful castle remains and lovely well kept grounds. We attended the Porsche at the Castle meeting along with 850 other Porsche. I would imagine it's a great location for a wedding.
  • Absolutely gorgeous place went mid summer to see a summer nights dream we took the time to go round the castle as well which was well worth the time there is a lot of steps so if you don't enjoy stairs I wouldn't recommend it If you do make sure you go up and down stairs it's well worth the trip and a great way to spend a morning or afternoon
  • It was a lovely day weather wise so it helped being able to explore the grounds fully, otherwise it wouldn't of taken long to just do the square keep,of which you get to explore four levels, starting with the basement, unfortunately the roof is no longer available.hopefully my pictures will show you that's it's worth a visit.
  • Beautiful gardens and a lovely area to picnic. You could also have tea inside of the castle. A wonderful experience to visit this norman style castle. Lots of stairs (not recommended to those with knee problems). Cards are accepted and a toilet outside beside the gardens.
