  • I love walking around this priory it's amazing and the room it still has with the big table and magnificent window it really can transport you back in time.  more »
  • Castle Acre Priory is a fascinating place to visit. Although it's largely a ruin there is still a portion standing. We were able to take our dog round the grounds.  more »

  • Pleasantly surprised by how well kept the grounds and ruins are and how much of it you can climb around. I really enjoyed a good hour exploring this Norman castle. The surrounding area is worth a walk around too with a lovely tea room nearby.
  • A great day out (or at least a few hours) with the children. Even better if you have English Heritage membership as it is free! This is a really well preserved ruin that is fun to explore and it is usually not particularly crowded.
  • Interesting site. Entry cost excessive but standard charge. You'd have to really want to go. You can walk around the fenced off priory and see everything without paying.
  • Great day for an outing. Pay for access.
  • A fairly large interesting ruin of a priory. A little pricey to get in, but still worth it.
