  • The drive up a narrow road is well worth the reward. Good car park. The view from the tower is fantastic. A shame you cannot climb the stairs anymore.  more »
  • Don't expect a cafe and a gift shop! But do expect a wonderful view of the whole valley. You can see the whole of the Tywi valley, castles and sheep. Definitely a stop off for a few pictures.  more »
  • A threecornered ruined folly high on a hill overlooking the village of Llanartney, Dryslwyn Castle and the National Botanical Garden of Wales at Middleton Hall. It has wonderful views of the area and ...  more »

  • This is a truly special place views are amazing would love to see to see the stained glass window that was once here a picture of Lord Nelson as paxtons tower was a tribute to lord Nelson the national trust do a good job but would love to see top floor open
  • I used to see this tower regularly from the road to Dryswlyn and always intended to visit it. I made the trip today and was not disappointed. The tower is set on its own in a large field, and is exposed to the elements - Go on a nice day! It has a panoramic view of the valley below and you can see all the way to Llandeilo. The tower itself is well kept, however today the gate leading to the upper levels was locked unfortunately. Take a pair of binoculars with you and a good camera - There's a lot to take in!
  • Fantastic views over looking the towy Valley
  • Access to the tower is available 24/7 but when I visited the first floor was padlocked shut.
  • Great views from here, you can see from the botanical gardens all down the flood plain to Dinefwr castle. Only the tower though, nothing else here
