  • Well worth the effort walking up the hill to enjoy the views from the tower. Handy free car park adjacent to the tower.
  • Stayed in the lodge next door so this was practically in our back garden. Lovely place, great views. Unfortunately we weren't able to go up it, it was locked all week. Great at sunset too.
  • located near to the national botanic gardens and a good attraction to visit whenever you are in this area with good views of the surrounding countryside

  • This is a truly special place views are amazing would love to see to see the stained glass window that was once here a picture of Lord Nelson as paxtons tower was a tribute to lord Nelson the national trust do a good job but would love to see top floor open
  • I used to see this tower regularly from the road to Dryswlyn and always intended to visit it. I made the trip today and was not disappointed. The tower is set on its own in a large field, and is exposed to the elements - Go on a nice day! It has a panoramic view of the valley below and you can see all the way to Llandeilo. The tower itself is well kept, however today the gate leading to the upper levels was locked unfortunately. Take a pair of binoculars with you and a good camera - There's a lot to take in!
  • Fantastic views over looking the towy Valley
  • Access to the tower is available 24/7 but when I visited the first floor was padlocked shut.
  • Great views from here, you can see from the botanical gardens all down the flood plain to Dinefwr castle. Only the tower though, nothing else here
