  • This is one of the better castles I have visited and well worth the entrance fee (concessions are also available). Quite a large castle with lots of areas to explore and a tower to climb which gives a...  read more »
  • Kidwelly Castle caused our curiosity on our wedding anniversary' holiday nearby Carmarthen. Luckily it was sunny and warm day. Browsing around the castle it was easy to imagine severe medieval life, g...  read more »
  • The children enjoyed our little visit. The Castle is huge and still standing enough to gage its original presence in the little town of Kidwelly. Entry cost is affordable shop has a small range of goods. Displays within the cadtle are very limited and could be alot better. Grounds well kept. Very steep steps and only silly ropes to help you up. Needs work to improve its tourist potential.
  • Researching my family tree I discovered that Gwenllian ferch Gruffydd is one of my ancestors. Pretty cool I'm thinking, because I've always been a bit of a rebel myself, and have always been intrigued with castles, Princess warriors and the midieval era! I guess my roots have been calling to me.. LOL
  • Lots of the original castle is still standing. Towers to walk up with great views across the countryside. Lovely in June with carpets of daisies on the internal lawns.
  • Extremely awesome to find out where my bloodline came from!! Never knew this place existed. Wow!
  • Lovely historic castle with lots of passage ways to explore and stunning views of the local area
