  • We often visit Haughton Hall as it is a good garden centre with top quality plants. We always pop in the cafe for tea and cake but more often than not there are long queues. There are two service area...  read more »
  • Came across Houghton hall by accident. Enjoyed a snack and there was plenty to look around in the shop, garden area, craft shop and they also had a fabulous fish section
  • This is one of the better garden centres in the area. There is a decent choice on the cafe menu, but the food is average. The highlight of my visit was the extensive range of train sets and scalectrix...  read more »
  • Good selection of shops friendly helpful staff and lovely good served in cafe , great women's clothing section
  • A very nice garden centre with plenty of choice and lots to see. Part of the strikes chain so a bit samey but has a good restaraunt which is open limited hours with a smaller cafe bar open longer so quite handy if you're passing.
  • Even if you don't have a garden, there's something about a garden centre that becomes increasingly appealing in middle age, especially when there's the opportunity for a cuppa. That said, is it because they know you've made a special trip that they think they can take the mick when it comes to pricing? They all do it, and they all think the best part of £3 for a bit of shortbread or whatever is decent value. So I think HH has had the last of my money after gouging me for £17.10 for two plates of macaroni cheese, chips and a bottle of Irn Bru. The food was fine - it's generally *alright* - but not £17+ alright. Get back in the car, pop down to Morrisons and get exactly the same and change from a tenner.
  • Has everything you expect in a garden centre. Staff are pleasant and always happy to help
  • Disgusting. .!!....the food is shite....the staff are miserable....the loo is minging....the goods are overpriced. ...quite frankly the only good thing was the road out!!....pretentious..supercilious staff....the only thing smiling, was the fish....
