  • Regardless if what performance you're wising to see, this is a must for all visitors to Cardiff, seating can be a little uncomfy but it's still a great place
  • Online website easy to use. Good automated seating plan. Downstairs stalls very intimate with the artists on stage
  • Went for a graduation ceremony, great view, difficult to find the seats which were on a small balcony, through one hall up some stairs outside another part and then down more stairs, how quirky is tha...  more »

  • (visited 19/vii/16) for my sins this was my first attendance to the hall & to Proms Cymru. Aquosticly remarkable hall. Advise to arrive in good time, for per-performance drinks and to order interval drinks too. Also do food, didn't par-take as eaten elsewhere, but look good. Could of had more staff behind the bars, hence low/mid score, had to wait awhile to be served, but bar was polite and professional, shame management weren't.
  • An older building not really that suited for concerts to be sure. Do not sit anywhere down the front stalls as the seats are all directly behind each other on a flat floor so you just end up looking at the back of someones head. Adequate food and drink facilities, but nothing special and the usual overpriced fare available. Overall this building needs some refurbishing and the floor layout of the seating changing, but it does for small shows and concerts.
  • My friend and I went to see Michael Bolton last night 14/04/16. We were sat level 6 door f tier 9. We have been to many of his concerts in the motor point which were brilliant, but we were really looking forward to last night's as the acoustics would be fantastic. Well unfortunately we couldn't hear a word he said. The band was too loud leaving us guessing what song he was singing and feeling absolutely gutted that we were unable to enjoy his performance. We weren't the only ones on our level. A couple beside us got up and left after complaining earlier on and still not being able to here anything he said or sang.
  • Really nice theatre but one criticism I have is there is only 1 lift for disabled people and the queue for it was long
  • St David's Hall has a dreadful website. It is so frustrating trying to book. Telephoning is the best way forward but a pity as I have never yet been able to see the seating arrangement as it will not load - just a continuous circle saying please wait. Friends trying to book have said the same. I have an excellent fast computer/broadband service. When I rang to explain I did not find it helpful to be told 'well hundreds do book that way'... Maybe they do but hundreds more give up! This weekend from the tickets of myself and the friendswho also 'gave up' St. David's Hall has lost a lot of money...
