St. David's Hall, Cardiff

3.9
#1 of 197 in Shopping in Wales
St David's Hall is Cardiff's most central concert venue. There is something on nearly every day - from jazz, classical and folk music to comedy, children's shows and everything in between.

  • The concert we attended was excellent, helped by the great acoustics. However the rest of the venue leaves quite a lot to be desired; dated and shabby, which does detract from the experience. The bar is on the expensive side - but not extortionate, however some of their bottled beer had gone bad. Disabled access was acceptable but not brilliant, could really do with another lift as there is only one small one currently - seating is quite good though, close to the front. All in all if there is something on you want to attend don't let the venue dissuade you, but just be aware it's no Albert Hall.
  • Seen micheal Bolton with wife Thursday 14th great night pitty about the drink prices arm and a leg so have a good drink outside before you get ther we did crazy prices in ther beware ??????!!!!!!!!''''!?!'!??just seen Billy ocean fantastic night 23rd April 2017 again shame on Cardiff council for allowing such prices for drinks make sure you drink elsewhere before you go in coz it's a rip off 😕😕😠
  • Sang in a choir here once as a child. None of my family came. I take drink and cry a lot now. I hate this place.
  • Superb acoustics and wonderfully designed building with a range of good shows always, including a folk programme of events in the cosy L3 lounge.
  • Been to a couple of gigs, very central, good staff. Nice place. Would recommend.
