Roath Park captures Victorian elegance and tranquility in the heart of bustling Cardiff. Constructed in the late 19th century, the 53 hectare (130 acre) park offers various sites for recreation and leisure, including playgrounds, floral displays, and a greenhouse conservatory. Rent a paddleboat or feed the swans on the expansive lake set in the middle of the park. Fishing is also allowed on the lake with a permit. Grab an ice cream from the park cafe, and enjoy it while strolling through the rose gardens or along the perimeter of the lake. • Iv been going to Roath park since I was a small child, grandparent live very close by. It's always been a lovely and extremely beautiful place to explore and. Going for a walk, boating on the lake, cafe (which i went to today and had food, whuxh was delicious as always) feeding the ducks, geese and swans, getting an ice cream, taking the children to the park, walking in the gardens full of beautiful flowers. My favourite part has always been the greenhouse, so beautiful. Grandfather took us for many years to feel the coy carp, terrapins and two ducks. Still go regularly. Only £2 entry for adults. Absolutely love this place. Will post pictures x
  • Several of my family including 3 small children went here on bank holiday Monday. The park itself., infact everything except the cafe toilets was good. There are 2 ladies toilets for hundreds of people. We weren't impressed.
  • Roath park is one of my favourite UK parks, where you can do them there activities such as UK rowing, and UK bird-spotting. The first visitor to Roath park was an Oxford guy, from the universitry of Oxfords. Check out the trees and their SWEET branches. A great was to spend a UK day, during your UK summer holiday.
  • Lovely place for pets and kids. Very romantic too! The birds are wonderful. Very clean and popular.
  • Me and the Mrs always take the kids to visit Roath park and have a walk around the lake while feeding the ducks, geese and swans. Watch out for them pesky pigeons who always mange to grab what you throw. Anyways, it's a lovely couple of hours out with the kids no matter what the weather is like as long as you go prepared (wellies, raincoat, umbrella) lol
