Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web
Since opening in June 1999, the Stadium has welcomed, on average, over 1.3 million visitors per year. Sporting the first fully-retractable roof in the UK, the venue is at the leading edge as a multi-purpose, multi-faceted event venue.

The Stadium boasts a UEFA 5-Star rating and has hosted matches from two Rugby World Cups including the Final in 1999, witnessed two Wales Grand Slam successes in the RBS Six Nations, staged six showpiece FA Cup Finals plus hosted the major artists of the music business with a plethora of major concerts and motorsports events on its CV.

The installation of a partition drape system in July 2005 now means that the bowl of the Millennium Stadium can be used for multiple concert mode configurations and for staging exhibitions. Millennium Stadium will also play its part in the London 2012 Olympics as a host venue for the football competition.

The stadium renamed to Principality Stadium following a partnership with Principality Building Society on January 22nd 2016.

  • Went to speedway GP 9th July not allowed to take your drinks in from outside they are stolen and binned then your expected to pay £2 for a 500ml bottle of water what a rip off. I also lost something I bought for my grandson which fell out of my bag under the seat tried to phone no answer left a message a week later call still not returned email address quoted on website came back to me saying not delivered how are you supposed to get anyone. Also because the bar staff insisted on putting liquids in plastic glasses my programme which cost £10 was ruined by spilt liquid, and why are hotels in Cardiff allowed to double their prices for big events. Next year I'll watch it on TV. You need major improvements.
  • Felt it necessary to make this review, Beyonce concert was on Thursday 30th June 2016, everything going on in this world, I was shocked to find that no one I seen or everyone I asked had their bags checked, and when we were allowed in (standing) everyone just ran in a panic. Come on Millennium Stadium seriously this is definitely a security issue, went to Wembley Stadium on 19th June 2016 to see a concert, bags were checked and everyone was let in and out in an orderly manner.
  • It is a cool stadium and is very well laid so getting to the bars and other facilities is easy and you are never queueing for long. I went during the rugby world cup therefore the roof was on. Everyone was telling me how amazing it would be however due to the layout of the seating and where I was sitting I found it no different to being in any other kind of stadium. You have to be right up front to enjoy the roof on atmosphere...
  • Perfect location right in the center of town with good facilities all around and very close. Easy transport links to further afield from the train station next door. Every game I have been to there has had fantastic atmosphere and the place always seems to be well managed by staff! 5 out of 5 for one of the best stadiums in the UK!
  • Visited for one of the Rugby Six Nations matches. Everything seemed well organised and never felt like it was unsuitable for children. Stewards were friendly and helpful and joined in with the excited atmosphere while keeping us all in check! Impressive-looking stadium, especially when filled!
