Principality Stadium, Cardiff
(4.7/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web)
Since opening in June 1999, the Stadium has welcomed, on average, over 1.3 million visitors per year. Sporting the first fully-retractable roof in the UK, the venue is at the leading edge as a multi-purpose, multi-faceted event venue.

The Stadium boasts a UEFA 5-Star rating and has hosted matches from two Rugby World Cups including the Final in 1999, witnessed two Wales Grand Slam successes in the RBS Six Nations, staged six showpiece FA Cup Finals plus hosted the major artists of the music business with a plethora of major concerts and motorsports events on its CV.

The installation of a partition drape system in July 2005 now means that the bowl of the Millennium Stadium can be used for multiple concert mode configurations and for staging exhibitions. Millennium Stadium will also play its part in the London 2012 Olympics as a host venue for the football competition.

The stadium renamed to Principality Stadium following a partnership with Principality Building Society on January 22nd 2016.

  • Visited many times great stadium, especially when Wales win. Bars drinks expensive £2 for a small cup of water, usual burgers, hot dogs, pizza again quiet expensive

  • Great atmosphere no matter who you are watching. Not just sports, but other events are shown here too. It can get bitterly cold in the stadium even when the roof is closed. Good spaces between seats and sufficient leg room. Views are generally good around the stadium and the elevation of the seats means that the person in front isn't going to obscure your view (as long as they sit down that it). Efficient gates going in and coming out. Easy to get to from the bus or train station. Plenty of pubs around the area, but on a busy match day they can all be crammed. My only complaint is the extortionate prices of the beer.
  • Superb atmosphere whenever I have seen anything at the stadium. It's up there in terms of the best in the world. It's city centre location allows for the atmosphere to spill out after any event. I highly recommend seeing something here. Crowds are processed so quickly.
  • What an atmosphere. First time here a week ago for Wales v Australia...I'm a rugby nut and this was something special. Right up there with Twickenham, and the people were so friendly and full of banter. The stadium is clean, well kept, and it is quick service all around.
  • Great stadium and a must visit at some point in your life. Hosts some great events. Pretty expensive prices once inside.
  • Brilliant stadium, probably the best I have been to. Came to watch NZ vs Georgia in the Rugby World Cup last year and Arsenal vs Manchester United in the 2005 FA Cup Final. Wherever you sit, you get a good view of the action and the atmosphere is great. Certainly better than similar grounds that I have been to such as Wembley Stadium. It's a great central location in Cardiff and not too far from major transportation hubs such as Cardiff Central railway station. Will host the Champions League Final next year. As I say, brilliant stadium
