Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff
(4.6/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
With a history stretching back to the sixth century, Llandaff Cathedral calls to mind the legend of King Arthur, who is even depicted in a stained-glass window. The cathedral has been threatened twice: once in the time of King Henry VIII, when pilgrims and their maintenance-supporting donations were forbidden, and again during World War II due to a landmine. In this century, you’ll see that the cathedral remains well-maintained and features a distinctly evocative statue of Christ by the sculptor Jacob Epstein. Take a look around this cathedral and learn a little about the history of the Catholic church in Wales. • Hidden among the schools, we've worked hard to find the entry. A bit away from the city centre. In the vicinity it is possible to park for free. The Tower of the Cathedral inside the tower were made more simple too flashy.

  • The location is a little secluded place away and when it took a while to find the entrance also arrive near the Cathedral. A lot of people don't even bother unless the time seemed to be. More than anything, too solemn atmosphere la tourists did little.
