Walk along the sandy shores of Carbis Bay Beach, a bay that boasts a 1.6 km (1 mi) beach with spectacular views as well as recreational activities and accommodations. Try your hand at bodyboarding or have a relaxing meal at one of the many bayside eateries. Although the adjacent hotel owns the beach, you can enjoy it for the day free of charge. • Great beach, fun for all the family! Little one had a wonderful time playing in the stream, Mummy had a great time relaxing at the far end where it's quieter, Daddy had fun flying kites and building sand castles 😃 cafe on the beach serving light bites, hot and cold drinks, SUP board hire. Beautiful part of the country.
  • Great place to come in the winter when it is quiet. Buy your fish & chips at Becks and drive down to the bay for your feast. The beach is privately owned by the hotel, but has free public access although parking is charged for 'in season'. Dogs ARE NOT supposed to use the beach in summer, and at that time this is not a quiet place.
  • Beautiful beach! Golden sand and almost turqoise sea when the sun shines. Big enough to not feel crowded.
  • Amazing beach, secluded location, great for enjoying the sound of waves hitting the shore. There is nice a beach bar as well.
  • Excellent beach

Where to stay in St Ives

A guest room along one of the cobbled Victorian streets, such as Fore Street, provides access to pubs, restaurants and the harbor. For spectacular views over the sea, consider a hotel near the water. Book harborside lodging early because seaside rooms fill up fast, especially during the holiday season. Inland from the southern coastline, renovated shepherd's huts and cottages provide shelter among the hills.
