Place very nice, ideal for a picnic or simply to relax on the lawns which run along a small canal. We can however walk a bit more and return to the City Center by the small streets between Greyfriars Gardens and Westgate Gardens.

This is a nice walk along the river with gardens along the side, there is lots of benches so it was a good place for a picnic lunch  more »

  • Beautiful and incredibly well kept river gardens, in the Summer it's like going back in time. People punt under low foot bridges in tiny boats on crystal clear water.
  • Beautiful gardens with flowers and nice walk near the river. Very relaxing also very good for parents with little kids.
  • Awesome for longboarding down the stour cycle way at the bottom of the park!!! Also next to a great big kids park so if u have kids take them here! Also some fun parts to play in the river.
  • Usually less busy than the Dane John gardens, west gate gardens is always so well looked after. Re planted each year to look it's best. Great for relaxing and just watching people being punted around on the river.
  • Amazing views, loads of open space and well maintained gardens! With the river flowing through its an ideal place to stroll and spend time on hot days.
