  • Only been here for drinks but the building is facinating if your interested in the history of Canterbury and the staff are very helpful.
  • Now a plaza in the centre of Canterbury at the entrance to the Cathedral. Busy area full of cafes and restaurants; a place to sit and people watch.
  • It is the central point of Canterbury and where you enter to the Cathedral through the Church of Christ Gate which is significantly in contrast to the cafes and restaurants that abound in this area.

  • Good Service and Tasty Food! I have visited this pub on a few occasions over the past 8 years and have anyways found a warm welcome. There is a great selection of beers, wine, and local ciders. The food is served quickly and is of a very good standard. Whenever I visit Canterbury I always come here for a family lunch. We have never been disappointed. The managers are very friendly and welcoming. Honestly, I know I'll be back on my next visit.
  • A very pleasant-looking pub on a pleasant little square right opposite the cathedral entrance. A good selection of beers and ciders. Staff were a aboslute nightmare. Disinterested bordering on the rude. Let you wait while they finish their conversation. Impolite.
  • Food was overpriced for what it was. When I asked for my burger without slaw and asked for an alternative, I certainly didn't appreciate the manager laughing and calling me a cheapskate in my face as she didn't realise it was me. Felt sorry for girl serving me as she seemed used to the behaviour of the manager... Not impressed at all. £70 wasted in my opinion.
  • Nice bar, not the cheapest but it is in a good spot. Also is deceptively large when you go in. Food looked nice but I didnt have any.
  • i can't complain. Nice beer, brilliant pie, excellent location. It's part of your visit to Canterbury. It's a must go for me.
