  • Fantastic museum, art gallery, play area, tourist office, cafe, toilets. it really has it all, in a wonderful building too. Free of charge, it should be experienced, especially for young families as children can be kept occupied on the ground floor, whilst adults take it in turns to explore upstair. Cannot recommend it highly enough for young parents that want a moments respite.
  • What I love about this place is that is entertaining, interactive, interesting, free and has clean toilets. Would recommend anyone who is visiting Canterbury on budget.
  • Great library and a lovely old permanent exhibition upstairs. They also have regular temporary exhibitions, which are often excellent.
  • The Beany has now regenrated the whole community with an amazing refurbishment. Would highly recommend.
  • There is always something worth seeing at The Beaney. At the moment it is Grayson Perry tapestries but there's also Georgie Meadows sewn portraits which are brilliant. The permanent collection is interesting, the staff are friendly and helpful, the cafe is basic but ok. I always look in when I'm in Canterbury and am yet to be disappointed.
