Where to stay in Canterbury

To explore Canterbury at your own pace, book your rooms at a family-run hotel in the heart of this historical city. Staying in this area keeps you close to all of the city's main historical sites, as well as its major shopping center. Family-run hotels offer traditional values, warm hospitality, and fully-licensed bars and restaurants, all at a fraction of the cost of the big hotel chains. For an equally comfortable and affordable stay, consider one of many centrally located guesthouses, which feature elegant rooms and covered courtyards.

  • My children enjoyed themselves, although I wouldn't say this place stands out from the rest. Just a standard play centre, but no complaints be made.  more »
  • We went here for the soft play, following a search for local soft play centres via the Great God Google. It is quite nicely presented and clean. There is a large cafe area which is quite nice. In Addi...  more »
  • Went here today with a friend I was teaching to drive. We intended to take a party of 60 children for birthday celebrations so wanted to make enquiries. On entering the car park, a member of staff not...  more »

  • Poor girl was left by herself to manage the place all day. No health and safety in place. Manager wouldn't answer her calls when alarms kept going off. She had to cook, manage entry and the areas AND do Birthday parties for children. Left with no break, completely illegal. She still tried her hardest and was wonderful, but the management is clearly very poor and the place will surely be shut down if it continues. Would not recommend to anyone. She had to come into the other room and do the laser tag, leaving the whole soft play area, till and bar completely unsupervised. So many laws and regulations broken. Cupboards left open with bleach in view of children, many things forgotten. Felt so sorry for the poor girl who was clearly a great worker and was being taken advantage of. Plus for a good 20 minutes the fire alarm was blaring, the girl could not turn it off, could not serve or help new customers either because she was alone and manager wouldn't answer her calls. Manager should have been down here helping and called in emergency staff as soon as other staff were unavailable. I can see accidents happening here soon and things going very wrong and wouldn't recommend anyone come with young kids.
  • Late opening hours are fab. Really lovely atmosphere here too. toddler and preschooler had a blast
  • Small and friendly play area, suitable for all age groups. Soft play, five bowling lanes and laser tag! Free parking for customers. Clean and comfortable. Not overly crowded or noisy. Perfect for small gatherings and childrens parties.
  • My little ones had a good time and the price was reasonable, free parking which is always a positive, but I will say that there are a good few issues that need to be addressed -The under 2's area is extremely unorganised and bordering on being a danger there are just loads of toys thrown all over the place most of them broken and unfit for use. The staff were sitting around and in my opinion this area needs to be sorted out its a mess. Throw out the old rubbish and invest in some actual soft play activity toys that are safe and exciting for the little ones. - Aprox 8ft+ wooden boards just leaning up against the wall next to the under 2s play area???? Need I say more. So dangerous!! - Staff not in any kind of uniform or tshirt that shows they work there. I was unsure who to approach. My son wants to use the bowling area so I will go back there but its a shame they arent paying more attention to detail this is a childrens play area and it needs to be on point! This place has great potential but needs the correct management.
  • Very limited play equipment, my 7 year said it was boring. I was constantly chasing my 15 month old as there is full access to a 4 Lane bowling alley- a gate system would of been helpful. My youngest was also soaking wet as he walked across an area of carpet- when I told a member of staff she casually told me there was a leaking pipe! His socks and trousers were soaking- no apology or offer of dry socks. Disgusting 😡
